Choi studied Korean dance, dance improvisation and site-specific dance based choreographic methods to broaden her artistic research as an artist. As a dance educator, Choi taught Korean Dance, Dance Film, Contact Improvisation, Dramaturgy of the Body, Dance Composition and Dance Education in Mexico, Taiwan, Korea and the USA. Her classes focused on awakening senses, understanding the body, and sharing energies through dance improvisation. Choi is the Co-Creator of kNOwBOX dance that runs kNOwBOX dance Film Festival which shares diverse ways to see dance through different mediums. She believes people create together by breaking boundaries, and living a life of sharing “something” through dance. Currently, Choi is a producer and director at emuARTSPACE in Seoul Korea.
