Our theme this year is "REFLECTIONS: a poetic exploration of human emotion, self-discovery, and cinematic nostalgia." How do you think your film relates to this theme?
My film reflects on the power and hope of embracing all of once heritage through dance in a poetic documentary
What do you hope to communicate with our audience through your work?
I hope the audience feels hope, acceptance and will be curious about what it experienced

Born and raised in the Dutch Caribbean island nation of Curaçao, Gabri Christa is a member of a crossroads culture, and her work expresses the politics and poetics of interchanging races, rhythms, and post-colonial histories. Multi-disciplinary and wide-ranging in form, Gabri’s art-making spans film, choreography, performance, curation, writing, and more.
