Using imagery from well-known fairy tales and morality folklore, and incorporating a cast spanning three generations, Barrowland Ballet’s Wolf explores the interplay between being guided to the right path in life by older generations and the need to forge your own path; to choose your own way.
Natasha Gilmore is the founder and Artistic Director of Barrowland Ballet, one of Scotland’s most exciting and internationally successful contemporary dance companies. Natasha’s work has toured to six continents. In 2017, she received the UK nomination for the ASSITEJ Award for Excellence for her work for young audiences. In 2016 Natasha established an intergenerational performance company, Wolf Pack, which won the Most Innovative Project at the 2019 ‘Generations Working Together’ National Awards. Their award-winning film Wolf has been screened across the world including Aesthetica Short Film Festival; Screen.Dance Scotland; Sans Souci Dance Festival; InShadow Festival and Knowbox Dance Film Festiva
