blue film is a contemporary dance film centered around the feminine experience in a patriarchal society through unison movement in a sterile environment that gradually breaks down.
Alex Bittner is from Brooklyn, New York, and currently works with Michiyaya Dance and Rocha Dance Theater. Courtney Barth is from Las Vegas, Nevada and currently works with Doug Varone and 2nd Best Dance Company. Alex and Courtney met attending SUNY Purchase Conservatory of Dance, where they starred in each other's dance films. Now they both live in New York City and create films together.
