Film Description

The man stands on the mudflat. On his way home, he realizes that he is dead. Lost in enduring solitude and confusion, he encounters a psychopomp. At the end of their journey, the man meets his loved one. After bidding a final farewell to each other, he is finally able to embrace his death.

‘Bardo’ begins on the mudflat, passes through the city, and ends at the mountain ridge. This film follows the man’s story from the shore to the mountaintop—a long journey toward embracing one being’s death.
