Why I Dance by Andreas Strand Renberg

​A dance-documentary performed in Kigali (Rwanda) by 8 young men, exploring their freedom and limits to express themself.

Andreas Strand Renberg is a filmmaker, musician, actor and curator. He grew up in the village Hølen, south of Oslo, where a large part of the inhabitants works as artists and was early introduced to theater and art. He has worked as an actor with several theatre companies in Norway and Europe, and composed and produced music for various projects in the performing arts and film, including his own band Madamamwe. As a filmmaker, he has co-produced documentaries for the national broadcast NRK and a number of music videos. The dance documentary Why I Dance (2021) is his first short film.
