“(v.) - to situate in a particular place” is a film about unearthing memory inside the intricate map of the creative intelligence.
Maxine Flasher-Düzgüneş is a choreographer, writer, and filmmaker from Northern California and recent BFA graduate of NYU Tisch Dance currently researching the intersections of language and movement through interdisciplinary collaborations with designers, animators, coders, poets, and dancers. Her current project, strikethrough (#strikethrough_score) is a digital platform where poets can generate choreographic scores for contemporary movers. Her dance films have screened at SzólóDuó International Dance Festival, Sans Souci Festival of Dance Cinema, FilmFest by Rogue Dancer, and SAFEhouse Arts. “Inside each one of my makings are traces of poetic origin, every body containing a textual sensibility, a poem breathing in the atlas of its dancer.”
